Reading While Knitting

Nothing complicated; nothing too exciting, but yes, I do knit while I read. As well as during many other domestic activities.

Almost There

Unsurprisingly, Thing 2 passed her yellow belt test. She seemed pretty happy to have kicked her board in half.

Unfortunately, I filled out her application form honestly, and unless she changes her attitude and respect at home, she won't get her yellow belt. She's working on it, but habits are hard to change.

Oh, wow--it's more than just the test for the belt? That's tough, but sounds like you went the right way.

Oh, yes, the kung fu people are serious about the "whole person" approach with their kids. Respect, discipline, etc. Homeschooling gives me a different perspective, I think, but her behavior at home has, in fact, only been fair. They're not weird or too strict about it, but reasonable. I love this studio.

That whole-person approach is fantastic. And I loooove the picture.
